Why do I do what I do?

I believe my pet portraits are physical representations of the eternal bonds between  my clients and the animals they chose to share part of their lives with.

I capture the memories of pets in their prime, and make them immortal! My portraits reflect  those special human animal connections that can never be broken.  I know how heartbreaking it can be, but if the pet has passed away, I can transform that sadness into a daily dose of joy. The bereaved  owner gets to view their pet in their prime. The life and energy flowing from their eyes, just as they remember. 

My beautiful pastel pet  portraits capture those happy and treasured moments of the time you Spent together, so they  will last forever.  The gift that keeps on giving.

How To Order

Simply place the order by sending an email through to chrystal@outlook.com.au and stating a desired completion date. Send us your favourite high quality photographs, and tell us about the star, or stars of the portrait. Your standard sized portrait (A4) will be ready to collect or ship within 2 weeks, depending upon the framing service provider.

Average Cost $400 to $600 -  Excluding framing

 I am a memory mason and a pastel pencil artist specializing in Pets and Animals.  I provide a physical representation of the bond between a person and their beloved pet or pets.  Although this is my specialty, I will draw whatever I am asked to, even if it is something I have never done before, I love a challenge!  I work from high resolution digital images or good quality photographs.

 Animals, what can I say?
 They make this world a better place, they teach us, they are amazing!
Without them, there would be only us, devoid of elaborate colours, we try to manufacture our beauty, still paling in comparison to our animal counterparts.  I capture a life, a memory and freeze it in time, so that it lasts forever.

Pastels are the purist form of pigment and produce the brightest of colours.

Pastels will never fade, crack or yellow with time once they are protected under glass. The black card shows off the animal colours beautifully, the gaps in colour show true depth and really bring your animals eyes to life.  If your beloved, has passed on, or you want to capture them in their prime, I transmute their life energy onto the card in front of me, then onto your wall, and into your hearts forever.

I am willing and eager to draw and paint outside of my box, with whatever you like, on whatever you like. The portrait behind this message is a massive pet portrait on 160cmx130cm canvas.  I used a combination of acrylics and oils to produce the perfect memorial for a family's departed friend.  

The move to the  Richmond Traders Building offers us the ability to partner with the awesome picture framers next door, and so we can now offer custom frames and mounts as part of the service.
